This is a list of many things psychiatrists do all the time that is considered medical malpractice, but because psychiatrists have bewitched the world, we think these are all acceptable psychiatric practices, when they are not, in fact.
The simple fact that we only accept these be done to psychiatric patients and not the rest tells the world that the psychiatric patients are being discriminated against. It seems okay to mistreat us, because an seeming authority (psychiatrist) says it is good for us….
These are all things for which you SHOULD complain.
They lie to you
Psychiatrists lie to you all the time. They will complain about delays for court dates, or for a form, or this, or that. But it is in their interest that there be delays. They could make things go faster, they just lie to you to make themselves seem okay in your eyes. Never take the word of your psychiatrist are the truth before you get material proof.
They say one thing and then write another
What they say to you, you keep for yourself. Because they will write something else in your file. So if you repeat what the psychiatrist said, you seem to be the liar. Always ask a copy of your file once you’ve been through psychiatrization and complain that what’s written on the file is not what really happened. And don’t only complain to the hospital, complain to the Collège des Médecins. The more people report the inaccuracies in their medical files, the less serious psychiatrists will seem to be.
Not defending your interests
This is the number one job of every doctor, and psychiatry is also based on this principle. Whatever happens, it must be in your best interest. Psychiatrists will skew context to make it seem this way, but you can straighten it when you complain to make them look like profiteurs. For example, once, my psychiatrist tried to make me belive my mom could empty the apartment she lent me for free without signing a lease, so I’d be forced to stay hospitalized until they found me an apartment supervized, being hospitalized all the while. I complained saying he wasn’t defending my interests, but my mom’s, who wanted me out of the apartment. It was in my interest to keep the apartment, and he should have made sure to tell my mother I had squatter’s rights and she must bring me to court to evict me.
Doing work they are not qualified to do
They will sometimes improvise themselves legal experts, when they are not. They will sometimes make themselves judges which they are not. They will sometimes do the job of other specialists. Psychiatris want power over you. Full power. And they hate when other specialists tell them what to do. It is up to you to report them when they overstep their qualifications. And it is often not in you interest either when they do.
Deny your rights
They will sometuime use “rules” to deny your rights. For instance, if they claim you make death threats online, they will use their internal “rules” to confiscate your devices like phone and computer. But they never proved you made death threats online, you never got due process, recognized guilty and therefore condemned to having your freedom of expression removed. You have rights. Don’t let the fact that they are allowed to force treatment deny all your rights. Patients tend to let them and staff feels entitled to, but the more people complain about this behavior the less normal it will seem. They have the right to force you to be into the hospital, they may have the right to force treatment, but they don’t have the right to deny ALL your rights they now call priviledges and give themselves the power to attribute or remove depending on your behavior.
more to come….
